Things I have planned for 0.4 release:

• Re-re-rewrite of the XML parser
  - removes extra iterations in the xml parsing, so new items should load faster
• itemico tags! (have to give credit to Darren and Apnea for the idea, thanks you two :P)
  - tag to display item icons instead of item text links. (example below)
• Some minor database changes. (need to cache item icon type)
• And probably some other stuff, like bug fixes and error handling, but those are silly. ;)

• (maybe) Spell & Ability Parsing:
  - ex: Mangle (Bear)
• Options Panel (planned 0.5)
  - just a quicker way to change options in the plugin (enable/disable parsing, change icon size, clear cache, etc)

After a few days of script changes, and some making my blog spew out errors at me, I’ve finished enough of the script to feel confident in a beta release! So, for your blogging pleasure, I present to you:

Wowhead Item Tooltips – v0.3

The changelog is posted on the plugin’s page, for those of you who are interested. But for the rest of us, just drop the script into the wp-content/plugins/ folder, then activate it in the “Plugins” section on your admin!

If you have any errors, comments, concerns, I please ask that you comment on this post to help out further development.

It seems to appear there was an issue with variable scope in the plugin activation method, which was causing the table to not get created properly.  There is a fix posted, so if you have downloaded the plugin prior to 7PM EDT on Thursday, April 17th, you may wish to download the plugin again.

First off, let me say how bored I am. After a modestly late awaken this morning (or rather, this afternoon) I decided to look up some stuff online to try and find some inspiration. Well, unfortunately, I have not yet found any. It sucks because I really want to do something productive today…

Now, on to other things that I found today I’ve marked as “interesting”, “neat”, or any other term of the sort.

CSSVista
- This one was a pretty nice find for me. It allows you to edit CSS styles live with a preview pane for BOTH Internet Explorer and Firefox. I find this a highly useful tool because of how much I work with CSS and how differently browsers can render the same code. I’m not quite sure if it uses the local computer’s versions of the respected browsers, but mine was IE7 and FF2.0 (Making me conclude that it does, but I’m not 100% on this).

Drop.io
- Now this one is sort of a mix of the thousands of different file sharing/uploading sites on the internet. But there is a nice difference, you can upload multiple files to the same URL, and allow users can be given access to collaborate on “the drop“. (pw: psf)

COLOURlovers
- Probably one of the thousand of sites out there that have different color schemes on them. So, it’s nothing fancy-smancy at all. Let’s just say I’m a sucker for hearts..?

Back to being bored with me… *sigh*

Sitting at work now, bored. Thinking about logic and methods on how to implement shit. And then I started thinking, hey, I should.. fix my god damn blog since it looks so jacked up in the first place D:
